Our first day of school is tomorrow and we were meeting as a group to answer questions and go over expectations and plans for the week. Our conversation somehow shifted and Amy said this statement about the program in general.

As Americans we often want to show up places and "do" something, so that we have something tangible to show for our time, but the value of this program is in the "being." Spending time with our partnering teacher and in building that professional relationship.

It was a good reminder as we head into the schools for the next 5 weeks!
